In this course, participants will gain an understanding of how to operate their tablet and become familiar with the opportunities it provides for enhancing the learning in their classroom.

Course Objectives

  • Identify the basic operations of tablet devices.
  • Design ways to assess student learning through the implementation of tablets.
  • Develop lessons that will be supplemented with the use of tablets.
  • Discuss research findings and application.

Required texts

  • None but you will be required to purchase specific applications: Keynote and Pages ($25 or less)

Required software

  • Any browser should work but IE 7 or Google Chrome are recommended

Step 1 - Choose your credit type:

a) Graduate-level PDE credit (University of North Dakota) cannot be used for master/degree programs of study.

b) The ED 500 course number is for post-baccalaureate non-degree graduate-level professional development credit study at CSU-Pueblo. The 500-course numbers ARE NOT eligible to be used on programs of study. The grading type for this course is S/U.

c) Noncredit/CEUs provide a record of completion (CEA)
